Responding to "Sail Away" and "Accommodations"

Once again, Eve stood at her familiar post on the bridge. Her fingers nimbly danced over some of the controls. As they prepared to get underway, she couldn't help but glance at the starbase. Stephen April and Neria April were both there... somewhere... along with Mehera Galthrax. The ship wouldn't be the same without them. But... life moved on... as it always did.
Part of Eve thought about Simon Ringo. She still didn't know what was happening with him. If she had more time, she would have gone to see him. She didn't know if that would have been possible. But she would have tried. She hadn't told anyone besides Stephen April about him. Mainly because she knew that he would never tell anyone without her permission... and she decided to give the rumor mill a little rest.
After giving Captain April (it still felt slightly odd calling Neria captain) the "all-departments-report-ready", she glanced around the bridge. So many new faces... you almost wondered if you were on the right ship. And she still had no idea what they were doing... where they were going. She would find out soon enough, she supposed.
