Death, the complete cessation of biological life, is not always permanent in the Arcadia universe (seldom for major characters). Future technology, such as regeneration, chronogenetics and other genetic science applications, can greatly extend organic lifespans, making some characters virtually immortal.
Time travel has also been used to prevent or undo apparent death, as with Jordan Rampart and Neria. Whether this works under the purview of Chronos or the Revelation of Ultimate Truth is uncertain, though doubtful.
Other less certain means have accounted for post-death revival, as with Stephen April.
The Revelation of Ultimate Truth – that no one is truly "alive" in the fictional world – gives the qualities of life and death an uncertain perspective.
