Haskins saw the lieutenant, barely knew the face of a new addition to the Arcadia, but didn’t know her name… but even through the restraints that were now being put on him, Haskins felt the entity ready to speak to the lieutenant. The voice suddenly turned British, and Haskins' mouth and voice accented in a way he didn’t know he could. “Well, you’re bloody ignorant, aren’t you? The man’s obviously possessed!” The blue-collar lieutenant retreated a little bit as the doctors swarmed the area. “Doctors,” the entity fumed through Haskins’ voice. “Never liked ‘em. Always suggested–”
“Sedative,” Brisk said, cutting the voice off and loading a hypospray.
“You know you’re not going to get rid of me!” the entity said through Haskins. “I can leave this body and go into another–” But Brisk delivered the hypospray and Haskins' body fell limp.
“That’s all I can do for him now,” Brisk said to a concerned Mala. “If… whatever it is… is still inside him, it’s the XO’s battle now.”
