Dante and Ria both watched as the captain restored order with the herd of not-mice. Granted, they left a royal mess in their wake, but they could certainly be useful.
Dante tilted his head to a side, half shrugging at the captain's question. "Well... they can certainly get places no one else on this ship's crew could. And it wouldn't be difficult figuring out where they've been."
He turned towards the woman who had been in the middle of the discussion with the mice. Civilian attire. Unusual... and Zakova had just left. Dante glanced over the PADD. Ria Stavros. Betazoid. The ship's diplomatic officer. No Starfleet experience. Dante would have found that odd... except he was almost in the same boat. He had dropped out of Academy in his sophomore year.
Ria turned to the captain. Extending a hand, she smiled. "Ria Stavros. I suppose lieutenant. I'm your new diplomatic officer."
