Ria fought every urge in her body to roll her eyes and scream. Considering they had requested her to be the ship's diplomatic officer, they sure didn't seem to have a clue who she actually was.
Instead, Ria held out the PADD she had received. "My name is Ria Stavros. According to this... I'm the diplomatic officer." In the back of her mind, she muttered, Not that anybody on this ship seems to know this. "Technically, yes... I am a civilian. But someone offered me the position anyway."
Ria hoped this went better. If one more person told her to go someplace else... she wasn't sure what she'd do.
