The known universe contains 1011+ (over 100 billion) galaxies. As of 346 CE, the Federation had only begun to explore a fraction.
In Arcadia, the number of galaxies in the universe, obtained through subspace studies and observations, was estimated to be in the trillions. In the far distant future, the Shapers restructured the galaxies.
