Nina fainted. Her mind was overwhelmed by the sudden violence.
"Mess hall to security. Mess hall to medical," Scott Dunson called. "A Klingon just stuck a human in the back." He glared at the crumpled Nina in contempt.
Security arrived in laconic fashion. "What happened?" purred the security officer. The Vulcan medical officer was silent.
"A Klingon named Klodd stabbed him in the back." Dunson pointed at the downed male human. "She passed out at the spectacle." Dunson pointed at Nina.
An inch-long incisor peeked out from under the feline lip at the last comment. Dunson didn't know if it was in sympathy, contempt, amusement, or what. All he knew was it creeped him out.
The Vulcan dropped down to the human and began to examine the wounds.
