Nero, 195 CE → 347 CE
Nero was born around 293 CE. Nero lost his parents in a Borg attack in Romulan space, 301 CE. Their deaths made the child Nero a legal adult in Romulan society. By cultural tradition of his forebears, Nero considered his life as having begun at this point, which official records reflected.

The anomalous nature of red matter allowed Nero to survive the "black hole" that destroyed the Narada, transporting him into the future almost[1] 25 years[2] after a supernova destroyed Romulus (324 CE). Nero emerged in 347 CE, where Federation authorities captured & detained him regarding Ambassador Spock's disappearance. After revealing his role in Spock's loss, he was imprisoned in stasis, which slowed his aging.

Through virtual interaction, Nero continued his plan to destroy the Federation, which he considered the greatest threat to Romulans. In 400 CE, aided by the Verlicons, he unleashed an "Omega" attack, crippling the Federation and causing the second Romulan war[3].
