Not as Bad as All That

Braize Janni Ghinta had left the meeting in the conference room a short time ago.  While she still did not completely agree with her Ti Klec's decision, Cerina Ringo was still the commanding officer.  What was more important: Unlike some COs, Cerina gave you the opportunity to voice your opinions.  And more importantly than that, she actually listened.  If Cerina felt this was the best course of action, then that was enough.

Janni had returned to her office.  As chief of operations, she was quite busy, and today was no exception.  After catching up on a few things, she had been on her way to visit a crew member who had some complaints on his quarters.  However, on the way there, she had encountered their newly acquired guest: Lieutenant Paul Thunder.

She was not without some experience with humans.  Just prior to graduating from Loczni, she had served in a one-month officer exchange with the Federation.  Her post had been the UFS Hammond.  It may not have been Starfleet's largest or most modern ship, but Janni found her experience there to be quite enjoyable.  And despite the opinions of a few of her shipmates, Janni didn't find humans to be a bad sort.  Oh, true; you occasionally ran across an unpleasant one.  But the same could be said for any race, human or non-human.
