In his years in the galaxy, Dante Winters had seen a lot. He'd seen an exploding gas giant in the Goystya Cluster. He'd seen a Ferengi give away his latinum with no strings attached. He'd seen a Bartokian who never took her socks off. He'd even seen a Q in a red dress, once. But he had never seen anything like the sight approaching him. A man in a red hat... wearing captain's pips?
After the initial shock of the unusual greeting, Dante couldn't help but smile.
"Don't mind if I do." Reaching into the box, he selected a sugar cookie in the form of a tree. It was decorated with green icing, and covered in multi-colored sprinkles. He remembered one of his neighbors on Earth making these... Christmas cookies, if he recalled correctly. Taking a bite, he nodded, raising the cookie in salute. "My compliments to the chef."
