Nina Black strode determined down the corridors of the ship, trying not to appear lost and confused, which was exactly what she was. She approached a computer terminal in hopes of getting some answers, only to find the thing down for repairs. Nina found another public terminal after a good bit of hoofing.
Why didn't she simply do a fast download of the data when she was flying in? The data receive cube on the shuttlecraft, given to she and Scott by Starfleet, was on transwarp frequency for another mission that was higher priority than her delivery to the Arcadia, so she would have to go blind into the ship and download when she got there. Nina smelled another story, but as usual when one was a civilian dealing with Fleet one did not pry, unless it was Fleet who did the prying....
"Computer. Verbal mode. Tell me who is chief of operations, Arcadia," Nina requested. She brushed a stray hair behind her ear.
"Chief of operations Arcadia is Lieutenant Fade," the computer obediently replied.
"Computer. Locate Lieutenant Fade, chief operations officer Arcadia." A polite indicator light flashed gently for Nina to follow. "Thank you." Nina smiled at it as if it was a lifeform.
