Star Trek: Cadre was an Arcadia spin-off, set in the same continuity (2385), conceived as "Star Trek meets Stargate" – Star Trek, without a ship.

From the Star Trek: Cadre website:
| “ | The Cadre is a team of agents who travel the galaxy (and sometimes beyond) on missions of special interest to the United Federation of Planets. We get around by two means: The subspace transporter system and the Kahn artificial wormhole network. Subspace transporters are a new development of the 2380s, allowing people to beam across interstellar distances via wormholes without need of ships. This is made possible by transporter-enhancer booster-relays stationed periodically along the way (operating on principles similar to that of the "quantum transporter" used in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Bloodlines"). | ” |
Cadre ran from June 2004 to February 2005, totaling 168 posts (with a last post for closure in April 2005). It centered around four principal characters, portrayed by the only four writers to actively contribute: Jordan Rampart, Rhoan na-Ki'tiki, Brett Sterling, and Kitana Verasqos. Rampart later became a recurring Arcadia character.
