Star Trek Online is a massive multiplayer game set in the early 25th century (4th century CE), the timeframe to which Arcadia shifted in Year 7 (324 to 344 CE).

In concept, the purpose of Arcadia's time jump was to parallel STO and broaden creative horizons, stimulate story ideas and attract potential contributors, by allowing game-players to dramatize STO experiences on Arcadia (and vice versa). This prompted including certain STO elements, like uniforms and ship designs. Arcadia history was also adjusted to mesh. However, despite taking place thirty years (346 CE) after Nemesis (316), the STO world-concept shows little progress since that film. This clashed with Arcadia's philosophy of change and innovation, and while some plot effects linger, the angle has been dropped.

While some elements may cross over, Arcadia does not operate in the STO universe or vice versa.
