In 323 CE, Stephen April suffered effects of nanomod rejection while the UFS Arcadia visited Memiklon.  During this period, he envisioned a talking wolf with white, black and gray fur, which acted as a voice of conscience or duty.[1]  April believed it to be a spiritual guide of Amerindian ancestors, despite genetic testing disproving such ancestry.

The wolf may have been a figment of April's diseased imagination.  It is unknown if the wolf continued to manifest itself to April after his disappearance in the Loop.[2]  Later, April's daughter Stephanie encountered the same or a different animal, possibly indicating another origin.[3]
