Tristan Skye is a 'temp' commander, a Starfleet captain on roving assignment to fulfill vacant captaincies aboard starships lacking COs until permanent COs are assigned or promoted from within that vessel's crew. In 2378, Starfleet Admiral T'Urla directed Skye to take command of the U.F.S. Arcadia following the disappearance of regular CO Captain Stephen April under mysterious circumstances. Skye's first mission as Arc captain was to oversee rendering of assistance to the S.S. Theron stranded near the core of the galaxy, which only Arcadia could reach with its quantum slipstream drive. Unfortunately this led to Arcadia becoming embroiled in events concerning the so-called "mirror universe". Prior to command, Skye came up through the ranks of Starfleet as an engineer. |

Skye is a curt, competent and straightforward commander whose roving assignment and 'stay busy' attitude allows him to not get too close to those he commands. Though usually by the book he'll fudge when necessary to accomplish a required goal. He prides himself somewhat on this, as it allows him to not be personally affected by unfortunate circumstances (such as the death of crew-members under his command) and to not become too attached to any one ship or assignment. He enjoys being on the move and the certain freedoms which come along with knowing he will eventually move on to new assignments and challenges. Skye is a bit 'cut and dry' in the personality department, but typically jovial & good-natured and calm under pressure. The fact that he's married and faithful to his wife rules out any possibility of romantic relationships with others. |

Avid collector of exotic cultural decor. Rarely takes any of it with him on assignment, preferring to travel light. Most of the prized possessions he acquires are put into storage, for the day when he plans to retire from Starfleet and open a museum.
While not normally physically inclined, Skye likes to stay in shape by sparring in the gymnasium or holodeck. Gets his share of cuts and bruises but can give as good as he gets.
