After the captain's curious dismissal Aranittara tasked a monitor subroutine to tell her if anything happened on the bridge and turned her focus inwards. First she checked on the diagnostic she had started of her project (the one that had stranded her in an alternate universe with no crew) but it hadn't turned up any results. Next she decided to do a little snooping; she looked up a Section 31 access code (not that she was in 31 but her secondary employers hadn't bothered to write their own authorization codes into Starfleet's computers).
After watching recordings of the staff meetings on the Arcadia pertinent to the mission (she could've done that without the Section 31 codes but what the heck, it was more fun) she figured out that their purpose was diplomatic. Looks like I won't be doing much on this mission, she thought to herself. Next she hacked into the fleet's database, whereupon she realized that the fleet had less noble intentions. But she supposed the captain already knew that so she kept silent. Perhaps I'll have something to do after all; maybe I can finally test the isomorphic projectors on someone else. I'll have to suggest that to the captain if he decides on a face to face meeting, she thought.
