What an... Interesting Bunch

Tarana and Midak had almost completed the repairs to the communications when Kelly had arrived on the bridge.  She was suffering from a horrible sounding case of the hiccups.  Temporarily.  Because all of a sudden, a blond woman in command-red snuck up behind her and scared the daylights out of her.

Shaking her head, Tarana turned her attention back to the task at hand.  That was quite an unusual display for someone who was in command.

Midak made the announcement that communications were restored and contacted engineering.  Their response was almost as interesting as Kelly's upon her fright to cure her hiccups.  Tarana wasn't upset that Midak had said nothing about her assistance in fixing the problem.  Cardassians weren't well-known for common courtesy.  Besides... her job was to make things that weren't working work.  She wasn't there to fish for compliments.
