Responding to "Peachy"

[Bartokian cruiser Dinaqa]

Korrine listened as Paul Thunder, lieutenant, 67T-9048, muttered his response.  Despite what Terrans thought, Bartokians did understand sarcasm.  And boy, did he ever let her have some.
And humans have the gall to call us arrogant, Korrine thought to herself.  She knew a few humans.  Very few, especially since the chasm between Terrans and alien species had been widening in recent months.  While most of them seemed all right, some could be... difficult, to say the least.  And Lieutenant Thunder certainly ranked right up there.
The mention of "Arcadia" garnered a second glance.  Arcadia was a notorious stronghold of the Humanist movement.  And the fact that Thunder managed to not only gain a Starfleet position but a fairly high-ranking one was certainly a surprise.
Korrine bristled at his second round of sarcasm.  She noted how he introduced himself, almost using the same introduction as Bartokians.  And his comment on her Ti Klec did not go unnoticed.
"Our transporters use the same technology as Starfleet's.  If you and your crew members had been carrying bioweapons, you would have materialized in space."
The nerve of this man was overwhelming.  His disdain for alien races certainly pegged him as an Arcadian.  He had insulted Korrine's Ti Klec (not to mention best friend), her own culture, insinuated that they were not that intelligent for saving his life... and now, he wanted to use their communications?  His people... I wonder if they even want anything to do with him.  She glanced over, a slightly cold look in her eyes.  "I'll have to clear it with Ti Klec Ringo.  Besides... it wouldn't be too smart of us to allow you to contact someone, now would it?"
