Soltak raised an eyebrow.
"If you do not wish to go, it is not, as humans say, a big deal. The choice is entirely yours," Soltak remarked. He was about to start another sentence when his com-badge beeped.
"Tala to Soltak," the Bajoran transporter chief said. Soltak tapped his com-badge to open the channel.
"Go ahead, Miss Tala," he acknowledged.
"Sir, may I have some leave time?" Tala asked.
"Affirmative, Chief. If I require your services, I will be sure to contact you. Otherwise, you are free until we leave," Soltak ordered. He tapped it again to close the channel.
He turned to Ria. "If you do wish to go to Earth, I ask that you select the location. I haven't been on Earth for thirty years," he said, smiling. "Or around the time you were born." He winked.
