There are many copies... And they have a plan.
These words open one of today's greatest television dramas: the "reimagined" Battlestar Galactica. BSG allegorizes issues afflicting our own world, spinning a dystopian epic that is at once tragic, mystical, yet realistic. After the Cylons destroyed the Twelve Colonies of Man, a handful of survivors departed aboard a ragtag fleet led by the battlestar Galactica, in search of a new home... beginning a dramatic journey of mortal proportions, revolving around interesting characters fighting Cylon pursuit, while delving into the darkest shades of the human psyche.
What about those left behind?
Before the Cylon attack, the battlestar Colonia disappeared into "the Abyss", a spatial dead-zone nearly impossible to escape. Eight months later, Colonia finally returned to find the Colonies nuclear wastelands, populated by scattered survivors. Now two years after the massacre, Colonia's crew struggles against difficult odds. Though most Cylons have withdrawn from the Colonies, some remain as "guardians", sworn to "protect" the survivors... whether they like it or not. The last Colonials face a daunting choice: Try to reclaim what's left of their worlds, or search for a new home.

Battlestar Colonia" is an email-based interactive fiction forum, set between Seasons 2 and 3 of
Battlestar Galactica (during the New Caprica period, after the first 60 minutes of "Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II"), focusing on those left behind. Our goal is to capture the dramatic appeal of the show in this venue. Whether you like military fiction, sci-fi or good, hard-boiled drama... if you're a fan of the reimagined
BSG, with an imagination and love of writing, interested in interacting with others in this world of rich, gritty intrigue, then you're invited to an ongoing story-line in a different direction, where characters determine plot through action. Create a character and
